The Cubs have a star in the outfield, and Kyle Tucker lines up right next to him.

Back on April 13, Petecrow Armstrong was hitting a woeful .197/.264/.258 with 17 strikeouts in just 66 at bats. Nobody was all that worried about it, because he was playing the best defense in the game (at any position) and even though he'd reached base just 19 times over the Cubs first 17 games of the season, he'd stolen six bases.
We'd seen Pete get really hot the year before, so we just kind of figured at some point he'd get on a roll and make his numbers look respectable.
Well, I think he's done a little more than that. In the 30 games since he's hit .340/.362/.760, with 12 homers, 33 RBI and eight stole bases. His season totals are .290/.325/.585. He leads the National League in wins above replacement with 3.1, and only one player in all of baseball has more (some guy named Aaron Judge at 3.7.) And, his Baseball Savant page is awash in red. Red's good. Red's very, very good.
