How many times can you fall for the same fake? A lot, it turns out.

The Bears let one roll down their (boot) leg

It’s a battle of unlikely 2-1 teams, the Bears and the Giants, and one of them will end the day 3-1 (on their way to 6-11), unless they tie, I guess.

The Bears get the Fox #2 team of Joe Davis, Moose Johnston and Pam Oliver, and Moose is just not very interesting. I guess the “good” news is that a few more losses and the Bears will fall into the Mark Sanchez tier of announcers.

Joe and Moose give us players to watch on both teams. For the Giants it’s struggling rookie tackle Evan Neal, and for the Bears it’s Big Play Bob Quinn, who has mostly been invisible in two of the games so far, the first when Trent Williams of the Niners engulfed him and when he faced Laremy Tunsil last week. He had a pretty good game against a backup Packers tackle, so I guess there’s that.

Evan Neal was the player the Giants took with the pick they got from the Bears in the Fields trade. Seems appropriate that he’d be bad by proxy.

The Bears are without Cairo Santos, and that’s bad. Not many teams can win without their best player. The Bears will have former Gossip Girl star Penn Badgely kicking for them today. Or maybe it’s Michael Badgely? You know what? Let’s not get too attached.

Jahns must really love the layup lines before NBA games, too.

Pam Oliver says Cairo is “dealing with personal issues.” Could it be from dry humping the grass last Sunday? Maybe his yard is jealous?

The Giants seem to understand that touchbacks go to the 25 as they down Trenton Gill’s kickoff.
