Can we petition the NFL to bring back blackouts?

Somebody please hit "sim to end of season"

The Bears and their fans got a long, stark look at what this team looks like without Justin Fields in their not-as-close-as-the-final-score-even-though-it-was-a-three-touchdown-defeat, 31-10 loss to the Jets on Sunday. And, it was so bad, that if I were Fields I’d go all Roquan and walk into Ryan Poles’ office today and start negotiating my new, very lucrative contract.

Granted, it didn’t help that most of the Bears few other good players were either out with injury (Jaquan Brisker and Kyler Gordon) or staggered off of the notoriously dangerous MetLife Stadium turf with a leg dragging behind them (Eddie Jackson, Darnell Mooney, Chase Claypool), and other guys got hurt, too including two right tackles (Riley Rieff and Larry Borom).

Things were so bad that backup quarterback Trevor Siemian hurt himself in warm ups and played through an oblique injury so that we didn’t have to watch Nathan Peterman play. There’s a non-zero chance that Siemian’s oblique injury gets worse during the week and Peterman is behind center next week against the Packers. Oh, how fun.
