It's time for some major awards
Marquee needs to make some room, they just won a lot

The end of any year is a perfectly arbitrary time to look back on the things that we’ve experienced. Some good (the Bulls), some bad (the Cubs and Bears) and some that we barely bothered to pay attention to (did the White Sox play this year? I guess there’s no way to know.)
But it’s a good time to look back at the good and bad in sports media. And we’ve established a very prestigious set of awards to honor excellence and whatever the opposite of that is.
I hope the gang over at Marquee has enough space in their trophy case, because they are sure to win a bunch of Pointless Exercise Awards…or The Pointys, for short.
Most frequent and unnecessary reading aloud of Wikipedia entries during broadcasts
The Pointy goes to: Taylor McGregor, Marquee Sports Network
On-field reporters aren’t particularly necessary in any sport, but they are especially superfluous in baseball, particularly during a pandemic. Taylor McGregor has that mostly thankless job for the Cubs TV network. So, we got a lot of Taylor just reading shit off of her phone. A lot. Enough to the point that we started just calling her Googles. But I have to give Googles credit. She’s what Rick Pitino would call multi-versatile. She isn’t just good at reading boring stuff off her phone. During game broadcasts, the guys in the booth go to Taylor several times a day, and her other great skill is being able to ask them a question that will completely derail whatever they had been talking about before their director made them talk to her.
Jim Deshaies: This one time, Nolan Ryan walked into the clubhouse wearing a sundress and a sombrero and when we asked him why he said…
Boog Sciambi: Hey JD, we’ll get back to that in a second, but Taylor’s got something she wants to add. Taylor?
Googles: Hey Boog, have you ever had a polyp removed?
