You win some, you lose some, sometimes you do both at the same time

The Bears showed aggressiveness and fight, and then both cost them in the end

Darnell caught this. Seriously.

I’m not doing the running diary of the Vikings-Bears game. Instead, you’re getting my version of Dan Pompei’s totally phoned in “Postgame Pompei” bullet points.

Unlike Dan’s, mine took me more than six minutes to write.

  • The Bears were down 21-3 early, Kirk/Kurt Cousins hadn’t thrown an incomplete pass, Justin Jefferson was running amok through the secondary and Dalvin Cook was doing the same between the tackles and around the ends, and the Bears reporters in the luxurious US Bank Stadium press box were giving us all permission to go out and enjoy one of the last nice weather Sundays of the calendar year.
  • And then, Riverboat Flus showed up.
  • The Bears started throwing the ball downfield. They went for it (and got it) on fourth down. They scored a touchdown. They tried an onside kick and just barely didn’t get it. They stole the ball from Kirk/Kurt. They blocked a field goal attempt. They scored another touchdown, and they went for two! Oh, knock me over with a feather.
