The Cubs got the results of Alex Bregman's x-rays on Monday and you'll be shocked to know that the diagnosis was, "his face is all fucked up."
Technically the doctors determined that he has multiple facial fractures. He says that he plans to play in the playoffs. You would think that he'd probably want to wait for the swelling to come down on his eye and see if he can...see.
He didn't say what round of the playoffs he figures he can return for. Chances are if it's any later than the Wild Card series he won't need to worry about it.
The Cubs' magic number is one and they can clinch with a win tonight at home against the Marlins. Or, if the D'bags lose to the Rockies...you know what? The Cubs should probably just go ahead and win.
