What if Ross is just bad at this?

The Cubs roster would be a challenge for a good manager. And it's also one for David Ross.

What if Ross is just bad at this?

The Cubs roster even at it’s “best” is a house of cards built on a foundation of sand. You take one key piece out of it and the whole thing ends up in a heap. Before spring training games even started the Cubs lost Seiya Suzuki and apparently six weeks was not enough time for the current braintrust to figure out how to get by for even a couple of weeks of regular season games.

They incredibly started the season with two outfielders on their 26 man roster. They do have three catchers…for reasons, I guess.

But really, what’s the big deal? It’s just a few games. Seiya’s playing simulated games in Arizona (he’s mostly playing MLB The Show 23 and force trading himself to the Padres), so he’s probably really close to coming back.

I’m sure the Cubs crack medical team is all over it. When have they ever steered a player wrong?

The current roster would be a challenge for even a good manager, and instead of one of those, the Cubs have whatever David Ross is.
