Welcome back Matt. Nobody did anything while you were gone.
Shaw struggled in his first stint, as did everybody who tried to replace him

Before Daniel Palencia coughed up the save, the big news of last night's Cubs game was the return of the prodigal third baseman, Matt Shaw, from his Des Moines sabbatical.
Shaw was handed the third base job once he was finally healthy in spring training and he struggled during his first stint in the big leagues.
In 18 games, he hit just .172/.294/.241 with 18 strikeouts and just two extra base hits. He did walk 10 times, so there's that.
At just 23, it wasn't a big shock that he struggled, and he went back to Iowa to get his swing in order.
And while he was gone, the Cubs who filled in for him showed why he made the team in the first place.
They were all fucking terrible.
How terrible?
