Embarrassing, frustrating, hard to look at.

And that was just the awful all-white uniforms that the Vikings wore last night.

The Thomas Brown Playing Out The String Tour continued with a stop in the stadium that Kevin Warren takes credit for building in the Twin Cities, and the Bears were bad again.

In an effort to change the narrative about their slow starts, they went for it on fourth and one at their own 38 just a couple of minutes into the game. It was their attempt to set the tone. To take the fight to the Vikings. To show they wouldn’t be pushed around. To get stuffed on a play that never had a chance.

Monday Night Football started 20 minutes early because there was another unwatchable game being played a half hour later in Las Vegas, and the Bears somehow managed to effectively lose the game before it would otherwise have even started.

You have to hand it to Thomas Brown. He’s innovative.

The Bears played without left tackle Braxton Jones, who was out with a concussion. Just like all of us are from banging our heads into the floor.

Jones’ replacement was overmatched rookie Kiran Amegadjie, the third round tackle from Yale who missed all offseason and all of training camp with an injury. Give him credit, he has managed to cram a full season’s worth of fuck ups into just the few opportunities he’s gotten.
