Steele's ahead of schedule, Shōta's throwing harder
These things have to mean something, right? Right?

The Cubs were just full of good news over the weekend. On Sunday, Justin Steele social media'd out the news that he's been cleared by his doctor to...uh...I guess get after it? The best part is that he only identified this doctor as Dr. Meister.
I think we know who that is. It's Dr. Keith Dudemeister.

And now, with ABC rebooting Scrubs starting last week, I worry that Justin hasn't actually been cleared, he's just been cross promoted.
There's also the chance that it's Dr. Meister Bräu. Meister Bräu, as you probably know was a beer that used to be brewed in Chicago, but Miller Brewing bought it in 1972, and stopped making it in 2005. The Bottle Store in DeKalb would sometimes sell cases of the stuff for like $6.99, so we drank plenty of it. My German was not quite as good as I thought I was, considering for a very long time, I thought Meister Bräu meant Mr. Beer. It actually means master brew.
Actually if you know it from anything, you know it from this:

Was Meiser Bräu any good? Well, it got the George Wendt seal of approval. So there's that.

Anyway, back to Justin Steele. It's great that he's got the go ahead to...pitch, I guess, and this has people convinced he's going to return earlier than ever. He was originally scheduled to work his way back to the big league rotation by May or June.
The news that he's ready to go on March 1, probably means that he's going to work his way back to the big league rotation by...May or June.
There are two reasons to take it slow with Justin.
