McGuire comes up handy, twice
Cubs called up Mo Bater instead of Mo Baller to serve as the backup catcher

The Cubs commitment to setting the Guinness Book of World Records mark for most oblique injuries in one season continued apace on Saturday when Miguel Amaya injured his while making an awkward throw to second base during a loss to the Reds.
Amaya was unable to stay in the game, and shortly after the conclusion of the event the Cubs announced it was an oblique injury and that he'd be going on the 10-day injured list.
The first thought was that the Cubs would recall Moises Ballesteros, who is their best hitting prospect and is presumably a catcher. But perhaps not. Because instead, the Cubs called up a 30-year-old journeyman named Reese McGuire. Is McGuire best remembered for being a first r0und pick of the Pirates in 2013?
