But we're well used to that by now. And...Theo's back!

Cubs fans, never wanting to miss a chance to freak out about something that doesn’t matter, had (at least) two opportunities to do it last week.

First, the Sun-Times’ Jeff Agrest broke the news that while Marquee Sports Network is still going to broadcast all of the Cubs’ pretend games in spring training, they are going to do “most of them” remotely.

I mean, Marquee doing something that doesn’t remotely resemble a well broadcast baseball game isn’t news is it?

Agrest reported that when the Cubs open the Cactus League schedule that Boog Sciambi and Jim Deshaies will be on the scene, but then “most” of the other games will be done from a secret bunker by Iowa Cubs’ announcer Alex Cohen and/or Cubs Radio’s hysterical laugh track personified, Zack Zaidman.

This is far from ideal, but not because the games are being announced from off-site. I mean, it’s spring training. Who gives a shit?
