The Cubs were literally one out from sweeping the Dodgers in Los Angeles over the weekend, and they did it mostly by shutting down a Dodgers offense that was averaging 6.1 runs per game coming in, and by hitting homers. The Cubs had hit just nine home runs in their first 11 games of the season, and then hit seven in three games in LA.
The Dodgers scored just six runs, led for just over two innings in three games and dressed like a slow pitch softball team for some reason for Sunday’s game.
