A Cub or two is gonna win a Gold Glove
But not Happ, right? Right? RIGHT?

The Cubs are going to win a few major awards. Wait, let me rephrase that. Petecrow Armstrong is going to win a few major awards. But five of them are Gold Glove finalists.
The Gold Glove Awards are not voted on by sportswriters. They're not even voted on by sporting goods store owners who sell Rawlings stuff. They are voted on by Major League managers and coaches, and those managers and coaches can not vote for their own players. Unless they're Pat Murphy because he never stops talking and he finally bored the Rawlings folks so much that they just let him do it.
Those manager and coach votes are only 75% of the formula, however. The other 25% is based on something called SDI, which is the SABR Defensive Index, whatever the fuck that is.
But even that's not true for every one of the awards. The Utility Position award is based solely on a "specialized formula developed by Rawlings and SABR." Sure, whatever.
The Cubs should have had six finalists (well, five really, but one different guy), and something stinks with the second base finalists.
